Melbourne deserves a truly multipurpose stadium
Melbourne is home to some of the greatest stadiums in the world. The iconic ‘cathedral of sport’, the MCG, the much disliked Docklands and the new Melbourne Rectangular Stadium (MRS). The first two are obviously oval in design and have mixed reviews when hosting rectangular sports, while the MRS lacks the capacity for large crowds.
Bulls win back to back Super 14 Titles
The Bulls have won their third Super 14 Title, defeating the Stormers 25 - 17 in front of a packed Orlando Stadium in Soweto. It was a game with plenty of attacking flair from both sides, yet the Stormers well documented defense seemed to concede too many penalties, with Morne Steyn unforgiving with his boot.
And then there were two – Bulls vs Stormers
As per my tip last week, this Sunday morning's Super 14 final will be an all South African affair, with the Bulls playing host to the Stormers, at Orlando Stadium in Soweto.
Time for the business end of the season
After 14 rounds, only 4 teams remain at the top of the table. The Bulls are looking to go back to back, while the Crusaders are looking for a record 8th title.
