Why would you sleep with the enemy?

The title of this article might be tad harsh, but it's only a figure of speech. Once again the League & Union hybrid game, the Wallabies vs Kangaroos is on the agenda.
Will the Wallabies get a fanfare too?

On the eve of the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup, we ask the question: Will the Wallabies receive the same media attention and fan fare that has been afforded to the Socceroos?

Paxinos underwhelmed
When I read an article like Cannon’s or Stathi Paxinos’ I really wonder if these alleged opinion makers understand the impact the Rebels will have in Victoria.
Yes of course we’d like a team with some players who can be easily identifiable. It’s a crowded sporting market here, and the ‘wow factor’ as Paxinos calls it, would go along way.
Eddie Jones also said not so long ago that the Melbourne Rebels would be the undoing of Australian rugby. A fifth team dilutes the player pool. I would contend, however respectfully, that Cannon, Jones and now Paxinos have missed the boat.
Brendan Cannon just doesn’t get it
Former Western Force and Wallabies hooker Brendan Cannon yesterday stated that the Rebels lacked star quality and that Rod Macqueen is "10 years out of the game". Brendan is entitled to his opinion, however so are we.
Bulls win back to back Super 14 Titles

The Bulls have won their third Super 14 Title, defeating the Stormers 25 - 17 in front of a packed Orlando Stadium in Soweto. It was a game with plenty of attacking flair from both sides, yet the Stormers well documented defense seemed to concede too many penalties, with Morne Steyn unforgiving with his boot.
And then there were two – Bulls vs Stormers

As per my tip last week, this Sunday morning's Super 14 final will be an all South African affair, with the Bulls playing host to the Stormers, at Orlando Stadium in Soweto.
This just in: Lipman, Vuna sign.

English 10-Test veteran and current captain of New South Wales rugby club, Warringah, Michael Lipman, has signed with the Melbourne Rebels.
